Dynamic Thrust Test Stand

I was fortunate enough to receive the opportunity of designing and building my university's first powered model for their largest wind tunnel. Given a tight schedule, the propulsion test stand was designed and built in two weeks!

A detailed CAD model was created to design all components and evaluate the strength of the assembly.

This is the thrust test stand after rough assembly. Electronics still needed to be installed, and a surface finish was still necessary.

Wingtip Antenna Mounts

I'm honored to say that I am the first undergraduate freshman to design, manufacture, and run a model in my university's $10 million dollar wind tunnel. I constructed an antenna mount to evaluate the effects on lift and drag to a wing with different lengths.

Both blunt and blended wingtips were manufactured and tested to analyze aerodynamic effects.
